Where have I been?

I am sorry I have been away so long without posting on this blog.

I have been staying with an elderly relative who is quite sick at the moment and there is no internet connection, unfortunately. I will be staying there a little while longer. I seem to be moving between my own house, my relatives and my fiance's house so not really spending too much time doing blogging or on youtube.

I am also supposed to be "recovering"  from an operation I had in August. I don't really like being told I can't do stuff so I am not co-operating.

I hopefully will be back blogging soon!

SORRY!

FOTN: Cousin's Wedding

On the 4th August 2012 my cousin got married! Yay!

For the party in the evening I got my make up done by a MAC artist in Fenwicks, Newcastle. I got a £25 gift voucher for Christmas and had kept it to use for a special occasion.

The dress I wore was by the Miso brand at Republic and can be bought here. It is quite unique with the eclectic range of prints and colours. The colours have a varied range but have a rock chick vibe! The length of the dress is perfect as I am petite at 5ft 3" and sits perfectly!

I picked up the colours purple and grey from the dress and asked for those to be incorporated into my eye look. The artist in MAC was amazing with me and helped so much in creating a look I was so happy with.

Firstly let me show you the products used.

On my skin: Oil Control Lotion and Prep + Prime Skin
On my face: Matchmaster Foundation Shade 1 and Pro Longwear Concealer in NW15
On my eyes: Trax, Copperplate and Vanilla
On my brows: Lingering
Liner: Feline Khol and Designer Purple
Mascara: Fix Lash
Lashes: number 36
Cheeks: Well Dressed Blush, Golden Bronzer and Prep + Prime Transparent Setting Powder
Lips: Hue Lipstick and Partial to Pink Gloss

This was the end result. The first image is in the MAC concession and the second in my back garden in natural light.

The end result was really gorgeous and I got loads of compliments on the look. I was pleased overall with the service I received from my artist Laura. I would definitely recommend the service to anyone wishing to get a make over.

Have you had a MAC make over?

ELF Competition!

So, I entered a competition ELF (Eyes Lips Face) were holding on their Facebook page giving a chance to win one of the new products from the USA!

I was immediately intrigued by this competition because I have never got around to trying anything from ELF before so when I seen this competition I dived right in!

I checked the page this morning to see if there was a winner announcement and I was one of the three winners! YAAAAAAAY!

I will let you guys know as soon as it arrives what my mystery product is!

Have you got any recommendations for ELF products for me to try?

I graduated!

I have been deliberating writing this post because it isn't fashion or beauty related but I thought I'd let you have an insight into my life.

On Monday 9th July at 14:50 I became a Graduate of a Foundation Degree in Children and Young Persons.

These pictures just give a small glimpse into my day and hopefully show what you can achieve if you work hard and put your everything into achieving better.

Have you graduated? How do you feel?

Today...I saw the Queen!

Hello there Junkettes!

Today's post is a little different from my past posts. It is in no way, fashion or beauty related. However, today I saw the Queen!

Here is where you learn something new about me! I am a massive Royalist! I know a lot of people dislike the Royal family and don't understand their place in society. I think the Royal family are awesome!

So, anyways, today the Queen was passing through Newcastle on her way to some North East visits. One main passing point was the Corner House junction on the Coast Road. I was in the area and decided to go join in with the festivities. I went to line up behind the barriers and got handed a Union Jack flag which I excitedly waved. There were lots of Primary School children and a Combined Cadet Force from a local high school. The passing of the Royal car took a little while because the previous engagement ran over the allotted time making others late. I do have a video which I will try and post at some point but still trying to figure out how to edit videos and such, so bare with me!

This is a photo my sister took for me of Her Majesty The Queen and Prince Phillip. She was wearing a lovely peach ensemble and looked positively radiant!

Overall for me, it was an amazing day!!!

Sorry for this random post!

Love, Geordie Beauty Junkie xxxx
